Find your Active Community Connector Vacancy

Rural Community Council of Essex (RCCE) is recruiting!

Physical activity is essential to our health and wellbeing and building on the success of the pilot project initiated by Active Essex and Essex County Council, we are pleased to be recruiting for Find Your Active Community Connectors to ensure physical activity is a top priority for everyone. 

This is a partnership project and campaign, involving; RCCE, Provide, Essex Wellbeing Service (funded by Essex County Council) and Active Essex. This project is all about helping people connect with the activity that’s right for them, so that everyone can enjoy the huge benefits of being active – it’s just about finding what is right for you. 

Find Your Active Community Connectors work within local communities and alongside United in Kind Coaches and other Essex Wellbeing teams, to support people to find their active. Whether that is within an existing group, club, activity or helping create something new.  

The post is fixed term until 31st May 2024 (with possibility of project extension)

Location                  

This is a district wide role and currently we are looking for Connectors in Basildon and Chelmsford districts.

Hours      

10-12 hrs per week, per district. We offer Flexible hours (majority of time is Mon-Fri, with some weekend and evening work as required). There is the opportunity to cover more than one district. Working days are negotiable.

Salary and Leave                      

£22,000 FTE (actual salary is based on number of districts. FTE pro rata)

Annual Leave is 33 days (including bank holidays) pro rata
